Kansas Holistic Defenders is contracted through Douglas County to provide court-appointed legal representation to misdemeanor cases in the 7th Judicial District Court.

We do not take cases outside of those appointed by the district court. We also do not take municipal cases or appointed felonies. Appointments usually occur at your first court appearance.

KHD is present and available for immediate representation during first court appearances and regularly visits the County jail to speak with those in custody.
