An alumna of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, Julia’s background in social work provided a solid foundation for her role as KHD’s defense investigator. Her journey from social work to public defense reflects her commitment to a trauma-informed lens when understanding human stories from all angles. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her kids, photography, writing, and playing Tetris.
